PastWalking is something anyone can do. No special skills are required - just an inquisitive mind and an interest in history.

We hope to get people of all ages and conditions - from school groups and tourists, to pensioners with free travel passes and time to travel - to exercise their bodies and minds while walking through the historic ‘village’ areas of London.

To make your trip even more interesting we’ve added a competitive element and reward system to the pleasure of discovering the past. Walkers are encouraged to spot the plaques shown in our interactive guides, ‘bagging’ them in any order and over any period of time using the special Score Sheet at the end of the pdf download booklets.

If you then submit a score claim by completing the Contact page with the number of walks you have completed you’ll be notified of your acceptance as a ‘PastWalker’ by return, and your name and score will be published here.
